The History Museum at the Castle

The History Museum at the Castle in Appleton Wisconsin is one of a handful of museums, nationally, to have been awarded a National Medal from the Institute for Museum and Library Service. Inside the walls of the History Museum, the past comes alive through the stories, photographs and artifacts of people of Appleton and the Fox Valley. People come from across the country and beyond to see our A.K.A. Houdini exhibition on the world-famous magician and escape artist, Harry Houdini. Museum exhibits weave national and local events and periods together to provide both perspective and local relevance. The Museum presents educational programming related to our exhibits and workshops for adults, families and students. The History Museum offers programs for all ages throughout the year, including walking tours, pub crawls, bicycle tours, and unique social events.
