The California Museum

Located one block from the State Capitol, The California Museum is the state’s official history museum and home of the California Hall of Fame. Exhibits feature California history, arts and culture as featured in permanent installations “California Indians: Making A Difference,” “California’s Remarkable Women,” “Constitution Wall,” “Health Happens Here” and “Uprooted! Japanese Americans During WWII.” Temporary 2013-14 exhibits include “Ray Eames: A Century of Modern Design,” “ California Missions: A Journey Along the El Camino Real” and more. Hours:
Open Tuesday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last admission 4:45 p.m.)
Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last admission 4:45 p.m.).
Closed Monday except on federal holidays.
