Campus Martius Museum

Campus Martius and the Ohio River Museum highlight the history of settlement, migration and transportation.

Campus Martius Museum is home to the Ohio Company Land Office which is on the National Registry of Historic Places. Housed inside Campus Martius Museum is the home of General Rufus Putnam, part of the Campus Martius stockade. Putnam’s home still rests on its original foundation!

The Ohio River Museum is home to a National Historic Landmark: The W. P. Snyder Jr. towboat. She is the last of the steam-powered, stern wheeled towboats in the United States. Open for guided tours since 1955, the Snyder takes visitors back to a different era of work boats on the river.
