Lorain Historical Society

OUR PURPOSE
The mission of the Lorain Historical Society, (formerly the Black River Historical Society), is to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of Lorain and to share that history with the public. We maintain a growing collection of artifacts, photographs, and other archival materials that document our city’s past. Students, professionals, and family historians are encouraged to use these resources to help them in their research and to enhance their knowledge of the City of Lorain.

HOURS OF OPERATION
The Lorain Historical Society and Moore House Museum are open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
