Mandarin Museum at Walter Jones Historical Park

Take a stroll through the beautiful 11 acre Walter Jones Historical Park on the banks of the St. Johns River in historic Mandarin and visit the Mandarin Museum. Exhibits provide an intimate venue to discover the history of the area. The park walk includes the 1876 barn and home built by Major William Webb, a boardwalk along the river, a sawmill, and the Losco Winery building. Artifacts inside the museum include: items related to Harriet Beecher Stowe who wintered in Mandarin from 1867-1884, items related to the Civil War era and the steamship Maple Leaf, an Art Gallery featuring Mandarin artists, and a small store of books and items related to local history. Located at 11964 Mandarin Rd.

Historic 1911 Mandarin Store and Post Office

Step back into a time when everybody in Mandarin shopped and picked up their mail at this Mandarin landmark. The Mandarin Store & Post Office. Stop by and get a feel for Mandarin when it was just a sleepy little village.

The building, which is leased by the Mandarin Museum & Historical Society from the Mandarin Community Club, was restored by a grant from the Florida Department of State Division of Historical Resources. The old Mandarin Store and Post Office is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is located at 12447 Mandarin Rd.

Mandarin Museum : Saturdays 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Historic Mandarin Store and Post Office - every other Sunday 12-4 (please check website for dates)
Group adult and youth tours scheduled by request
